Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan celebrates 23 years of outstanding work in cinema today, June 25.
The actor is often looked upon as an example of hard work and perseverance after he made it to the top of the leading actor’s list, especially since he had no Godfathers in the industry, nor did he come from a filmy background.
Twenty three years ago, on this very date, Shah Rukh Khan’s debut film ‘Deewana’ was released.
Since then Shah Rukh Khan has gone on to be named as the King of Romance, thanks to his heart-melting performances in films like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and ‘Devdas’ to name a few from the long list.
The actor’s ever-faithful Twitterati wished the actor on his anniversary in Bollywood and within no time the hashtag #23GoldenYearsOfSRK began to trend. His negative roles in ‘Baazigar’ and ‘Darr’ at the start of his career earned him a lot of appreciation and his other notable work was seen in films like ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Pardes, ‘Swades’ and ‘Veer-Zaara’.
Shah Rukh Khan’s recent releases ‘My Name is Khan’, ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Happy New Year’ also went on to become huge commercial hits.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently filming for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ along with Kajol. The actor will also be seen in ‘Fan’ and ‘Raees’. SRK was busy cycling in Bulgaria, the actor tweeted a pic of his from the sets of ‘Dilwale.’
Undoubtedly, this is the casting coup of the century. Every producer’s favourite fantasy – Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan together in one film– is going to come true soon.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is the one who has beaten all the other dream merchants into bringing the Khan triumvirate of superstars in the same frame.
According to sources very close to Nadiadwala, “Sajid has decided to produce a film which will star the three Khan superstars. He may even direct the film himself, though that would depend entirely on the nature of the subject. The film will go on the floors in January 2017 and release in December 2017.”
While other details of this super-ambitious project are being worked out, one has come to know that Nadiadwala has a story in mind on the lines of Manmohan Desai’s Amar Akbar Anthony.
“It has to be a subject that does equal justice to all three superstars, or their fans would feel justice. Sajid is aware that each of three Khans has a solid massive and aggressive fan-base. None of the three Khans’ devotees would forgive any slip-up in the projection of their favourite star. This is why he has decided to start shooting the project in 2017. There is ample scope to work out a plot which can accommodate the trio of titans without lurching into lopsidedness.”
Incidentally Shah Rukh and Salman have come together thrice earlier in Rakesh Roshan’s Karan Arjun, K C Bokadia’s Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam and Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Salman and Aamir created comic history in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Andaz Apna Apna.
But Aamir and Shah Rukh have never worked together.
