Shah Rukh Khan has been silently doing his bit for the needy, especially with medical aid.
The actor, who funds a children's ward in a top city hospital, is now planning to fund a cancer wing for the underprivileged in Mumbai in memory of his parents — mother, Fatima, and father, Taj Mohammed Khan (who had succumbed to the illness).
Says a source, "It is all in the planning stage. He has been talking about doing this but hasn't decided when, where and how. SRK becomes very sad when he comes across cases of terminally ill people who have no proper medical facilities."

While discussing about each other's films, SRK confessed that he and his entire family is a fan of Hugh and his films. Your 18th birthday is always a special occasion. But it's not every 18 year old who has a Shah Rukh Khan or a Sanjay Dutt come to greet him on his big day.
Well, Zeeshan Siddiqui was the lucky boy who had the two superstars drop by to wish him as he stepped into adulthood. Father Baba Siddiqui looked on proudly as the actors posed for pictures with Zeeshan and his friends.
One of the earlybirds was Sanju baba who came in with Kumar Gaurav, Priya Dutt and Owen Roncon. Sohail Khan was in a good mood, chatting and joking with everyone. Kishen Kumar was also seen having a good time. SRK, who came in post midnight, was seen talking with Sohail and the duo spent a long time catching up with each other.
Dressed in his trademark half-tucked in shirt, SRK charmed one and all with his presence. 017 x SRK at Zeeshan's b-day bash

He looks gaunt and underweight. His cheekbones stick out prominently. His once famed six-packs have become a thing of the past. And, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is the first to admit that he’s lost weight. “Yes, I have lost a lot of weight,” he rues. “I need to put some weight on...even the kids (Aryan and Suhana) are thinking I am a 90 pound pushover weakling. I can’t be an under-nourished superhero, can I?” adds the actor, who is currently busy shooting for his sci-fi superhero flick, Ra.One, which also stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, and is scheduled for release next year.
The reason for SRK’s weight loss is, to say the least, strange.
“It’s because I had been wearing a superhero suit for Ra.One. The suit is made of silicon and styrofoam and rubber and, after wearing that suit for eight to nine hours daily, you tend to lose weight.”

He may be the Bollywood Badshah, but wife Gauri Khan is the boss at Mannat. And Shah Rukh Khan admits that credit for their extremely well-done-up home ought to go to Gauri.
The couple launched the premium, international-quality upholstery and curtain material brand D'Decor recently, helping it to set rules that re-define the way furnishings will be bought.
SRK didn't have to convince the reticent Gauri to agree to this proposition. "When D'Decor approached her, she was excited because it was an area of her interest," he said. "She loved the product and was comfortably close with family D'Decor — Ajay, Sanjay Arora and Simone Arora."

Actor Shah Rukh has refused to play the role of IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi despite being asked by Modi himself. The role is for the film Commissioner based on Modi’s life seen from the perspective of a journalist, reported the Mumbai Mirror. While the exact reason has not been stated, the actor possibly rejected the role since he himself is so closely related with the league. It’s also possible that he refused to get involved with the IPL in the light of all the recent controversy around the League and its commissioner.
“When the film was announced, everything was very rosy on the IPL front. But after the recent controversy on Lalit Modi, it has become a very sensitive topic,” a source told the tabloid.
